THE BEGINNING
In 1966, Louis and Molly Shinwell pioneered the creation of the first modern Cossack-style dental tunic, igniting the journey of Dencowear. The name Den-Co-Wear comes from the very first 'dental coat' that was made. Their vision laid the cornerstone for a company dedicated to blending innovation with style, a legacy spanning three generations.
1980
EXPANDING INTO HEALTHCARE
During the 1980s, under the leadership of Sue Sherman (daughter of Louis & Molly), Dencowear expanded beyond dental tunics to cater to the wider healthcare industry. Recognising the need for stylish yet functional uniforms, we introduced a diverse range of workwear tailored for
medical, beauty, and pharmacy professionals. Our commitment to quality and innovation helped solidify our reputation as a trusted provider of professional uniforms.
2013
A NEW ERA OF HEALTHCARE UNIFORMS
In 2013, we launched Uniforms4Healthcare.com, bringing our decades of healthcare uniform expertise online. By creating a dedicated store for the scrubs, tunics and dresses we had long supplied to healthcare organisations, we made it easier for professionals across the UK to access quality uniforms.
